Vourvourou, which is located 5 kilometres from the coastal village of Ormos Panagias, where you can buy a ticket to visit the monasteries of Mountain Athos. Here there are three spots for lovers of the sea and swimming: the beach of Vourvourou, the secluded Karydi bay, and the Livari lagoon, with its shallow waters.

BEACHES

Karydi Beach

Karydi is probably the most famous beach of Vourvourou in Sithonia. It has fine white sand and the bay is enclosed by white rocks on both sides, providing calm and shallow waters perfect for swimming. Karydi is an exotic beach with white sand, turquoise waters, white rocks, and a pine grove very close to the shore. The beach does not offer amenities, except for food trucks for the basics.

During the summer months, it attracts a lot of people and due to the limited space, we recommend you arrive early. At Karydi Beach you will also find various sea and mountain activities for your enjoyment.

Karydi Beach is particularly popular with families with small children as the sea is shallow and the waters are warm.

In beautiful Ammouliani, with its little houses full of flowers and its picturesque port, time stands still. On the island many sandy beaches can give you a unique, “golden” afternoon under the sun…you just have to choose one!
